After a long hiatus...the buchi breaks the dry spell

It was quite a while (well, "a while" is an understatement). I have been away for 2 years, not that somebody missed me, anyway and now I'm back but still not sure if Im gonna be an active blogger.

What made me decide to open my blog again? It's the humble buchi..hehehe..I wanted to post the photos on my multiply account but then again I dont think mere pictures, without descriptions, would be interesting enough. Kaya eto na....

Im not really bored. I just wanted to do something while Im having this long days off from work. Naglinis ng bahay--done, naglaba--done, nag-photo session sa city--done, naki-despedida kina Melvin and Joji--done, nag-aral kaunti ng Photoshop--done...the week is almost done din..hehe..


So, bago matapos ang week, I decided to harass malou in making some buchi..ininvite ko ang sarili ko sa house nila para doon kami magluto..hehehe....tuwang-tuwa naman si malou sa pagdating ko...she felt honoured that I graced their humble abode..hehehe

Eto ang paraan ng pag-gawa ng buchi.. :)

After pagsawaan ni malou ang dough ako naman ang nag-roll neto...Ay oo nga pala, the filling which is the red monggo had already been cooked sa flat palang namin..Cooked, mashed tapos iniluto sa dami-daming mantika at asukal..result is a malagkit mashed red monggo that looks like an ube..(isasama daw ni malou sa halu-halo nila..hehe). You can actually see them sa photo, yung bilog-bilog dun sa isang plato :)

Ok na ang dough, ok na rin ang filling, so we started filling up the dough with the fillings (nyahahahaha..dami namang fillings yan)





















Eto na ang buchi..not yet cooked..hehe..pine-present palang ng reyna ng buchi :)




After the "hard work" we decided to take a break muna.. Malou went to her garden para mamitas ng gulay for her nilagang baboy :D..kaya naman gustong-gusto ko sa bahay nina malou laging masarap ang ulam..hehehe..Of course, harvesting wont deter malou from striking a pose ;)

As for me, namitas na rin ako ng fejioa nila. Sinamantala ko na habang mahal pa sya sa Pak n Save..hehe..of course, posing din ako..Ang lagay eh sa Malou lang.. ;)

















After the break, and some occasional check on Youtube (madonna decena, connie talbot) we proceeded with our mission..to finish the buchi para makapag-lunch na..hehe (gutom na ako,eh..kalahating pan de sal lang nakain ko, with tortang itlog :D )
















That's me, seriously frying the buchi until golden brown..and pondering the effect of sesame seeds on the total appearance of buchi...with sesame seeds or without sesame seeds, that is the question...naubusan kase kami ng sesame seeds kaya parang gusto na naming i-prito without it..pero di pala maganda..hehe..kase it's the sesame that adds color to the buchi

So, here it is presenting our buchi..na pinaghirapan ng dalawang luka-luka..Ito ang resulta ng aming luha, pawis at pagod...Nawa'y ito na ang maging daan sa pagyaman namin ni malou at tuluyan na akong maiahon sa kahirapan..hehe (OA ba?)
